The cover design is by Barbara Dziedzic. She got inspired by ‘kintsugi’ , the japanese art of repairing broken pottery. It captures the work of decolonisation, which is living with the colonial scars. For me it invites a perspective in which brokenness is integrated into identity, rather than erased. The scars are visible. It however does not imply that colonial trauma can be inherently beautiful, neither that healing, reparation and reconciliation is simple.
The editor of the book is Per Robstad.
